but, aren't you sort of doing the same thing? spinning off of this only slightly interesting "controversy"? as an old queer, i was there and i got the tshirt to prove it but to me the main point is i find token representation of queer culture to be annoying and not relevant. which i consider ellen to be, she's that, very non edgy, acceptable queer that got let in to the public discourse. other than that, who cares, indeed. so it is mildly interesting that she is apparently feeling her privilege and not very nice to her employees or interns, but why defend her over it? trust me, she is way beyond your's or anyone else's criticism or defense, behind her fame and money wall
